This debate can only be settled with actual data from actual games, so I won't try to argue further here.

But I should point out one thing, since Jim mentioned PR. If someone does decide to investigate this question using actual data from human matches, then XG's Performance Rating (PR) is NOT what one should be looking at. Recall that the precise definition of PR is highly bizarre, relying on a baroque notion of what constitutes a non-obvious decision. What we really need to examine is the total MWC lost as a result of errors on each side.
