Anonymity on Backgammon Galaxy

When the internet started it was sort of a thing to use a handle. I assume many top players do it for similar reasons as weaker players like myself - for the hell of it. Or for fun. For some maybe it is for privacy.

I use different nicks on different discussion forums, some I use my name. I think I started using OpenWheel for some backgammon sites because I didn't want a variant on my own name once I forgot what my fibs password was, lol.

I used to have a cross reference sheet of a bunch of BGO players and names as they told us on here. I don't anymore. Sort of wish I did, I'd shadow more matches and learn more. Just a 'high rated' player on some site I don't always trust as some are using bots. The BGO players I trust. I know they're good, for real!
