well don't forget Jellyfish that gave it to Snowie (I'm still curious why they haven't made a new version). Snowie gave it to XG (I assume they had finacially more promising stuff and the copy protection was cracked, so hard to find new $400 buyers or enough for expensive upgrades.)

I disagree with "basically abandoned the market" because XG still owns the market.
