I used "but" because gammon losses for the 3-away player are a much stronger indication of ND than gammon wins are. I have a large supply of positions at 3a7a where XG doubles despite significant (sometimes 40% or more) gammon wins, but few if any positions where XG doubles with more than 10% gammon losses.
