Sorry, yes, I was just making a joke, on "strip" and "bare, implying taking clothes off.

As far as the actual question about "bear in loose" .

I would not know what the meaning was. Hit "loose" means hitting while leaving a blot, instead of making a point.

I don't think "loose" is needed for bear-in or bearing in, or bearing off or bear-off.

Unless you do mean to bear-in while leaving a blot that could be hit from the bar? Or bear-off leaving a blot that coud be hit from the bar.

I have never heard 'loose' used exactly that way, but I guess it could be.
