It is X-22 who brought up the position. He was speaking broadly - no match score in view. He just used Gammon count to determine if gammon or not was TCTC= In this case 6/3 was advocated. otherwise - if gammon was sure or gammon was out of sight - then economy bear-in was the order of the day. One thing - Since Magriel (and his computerless time) discovered the Gammon count, Efective pipcont is theirs too because it is the same - Trice, Danny Kleinman and others just made them more popular by adding the wastage estimates. My question is did anyone - Mochy, Olsen, Schiemann or someone before, discuss gammon-save decisions?
