I was asking him why he didn't trust it, and you responded as to why. Just because a bot changes evaluations on different plies doesn't make the rollout wrong. So I had asked why it wasn't trusted, as someone may have different reason. Of course the wildly different evaluations on different plies is a strong clue yes.
If you're sure, OK, fine with me. But not sure why you keep harping on 'blindly trusting' and 'push a button'. Nobody's doing that.
I said the bot could kick anyone's ass here except some of the giants. This looks moretactical to me, not strategic. And on 3-ply or 4-ply it should see the tactics. I think the fact that it avoids making the 8 and avoids slotting the 7 makes sense. But since there's so many plays possible, I did say yeah, I'd trust a rollout over my own picks. I didn't say I would trust it over yours or other strong players pick.
I ran one variant selecting some plays, but didn't get the 4-ply I thought I had. Then I got lost in the weeds staying up until 3 am searching the archives for 4-ply play strength ve roller+ play. SO maybe the original rollout is stronger than mine last night anyway. I'll get something cranking overnight tonight. Although I agree with the poster that said any of the reasonable plays won't lose much equity. But in the variant I made it roll out 10/8 13/7 and it consistently finished last. I don't think that's bot misplay but I may be wrong. I
