In Position 1, Blue's second back checker was (doubled up on her 24pt. In Position 2, that second checker was on her 23pt. In Position 3, it was on her 22pt. In Position 4, it was on her 21pt.
The best play in Positions 1 and 2 was H (Hit, 13/9 11/5). The best play in Positions 3 and 4 was K (Kill, 11/5*/1*). Note that a hit-and-split play such as 24/20 11/5* was a poor play in all four positions (13/9 or 5/1* is a better use of the 4).
In Position 5, shown above, Blue's second back checker is all the way up to his 20pt. In this case, 24/20 covers the powerful 20pt; hence, 24/20 13/5* is easily the best play. This is the least challenging of the five positions for which to make/guess the best play.
