The default play is to clear from the rear, 6/off 6/4. Bearing off against an ace-point game, we almost always prefer a spare on the 4pt to a spare on the 3pt.

We can check immediate blotting rolls. After 6/4, we blot with 65, 55, 44. After 5/3, we blot with 64 and 44. So 5/3 leaves one fewer immediate blotting roll, but I think it leads to longer-term blotting danger because of the "interior gap" on the 4pt. I'll still go for 6/4.
