"Gin position" -- definition

In noticed "non-contact" in the wording. I'd like to take that incidental out of the equation and rephrase:
We reach the non-contact position below after a few rolls, and "I claim a win of 1 point." You say, "Okay." We both write down "Nack 1, Tim 0" and set up the board for the next game. Has anything illegal transpired?
Same situation as above, but instead of "I claim a win of 1 point," I say, "I'll take 1 point" or "I'll settle for a 1-point win," and you say "Okay," etc. Does that make a difference?
Does it matter if I claim (or offer to take) 2 points? I can still legally gammon you.
