"Gin position" -- definition

Bob (2016 suggestion): There should be a rule that if a person claims a position as gin that the opponent is allowed to call the rolls for the remainder of that game.
Colin (2016 suggestion, toned down version): At any point during this roll calling exercise, the gin claimer - perhaps finally starting to doubt the veracity of their statement - should be allowed to lose face by terminating it.
Modern USBGF rule: Players must neither agree to end a game or match, nor alter an existing checker and cube position, nor agree on any non-random dice roll based on a negotiated settlement agreement.
Colin (2023): My 2016 rule suggestion would be illegal under the latest USBGF Rules. Though testing the veracity of the claim of gin in this way sounded reasonable, it could be abused by players trying to obtain a dishonest outcome for financial gain.
Nack: So far, in order to discourage frivolous or annoying gin claims/insistences, I prefer your old rule, which (intentionally or otherwise) is precluded by the modern rule. Aside from an outrageous lie, such as "My opponent claimed gin [when he didn't], so I played a double 6 without rolling...," can you please provide an example of abuse?
