When we're trying to complete our bearin, it's often worth risking a few shots when the opponent is on the bar if it improves our position when we're missed. How many is a "few"? Generally giving the opponent 2 or 3 rolls out of 36 to hit is fine. Here, 13/8 gives White 6 rolls to hit from the bar, which is enough to give me pause. But 13/8 is a big gain when we're missed, and 6/1 looks awful. I'm inclined to risk 13/8. It helps slightly that White has only a four-point board, so there's some chance we can survive even if we're hit.
