The opponent's blotted inner board is obviously a big deal here. If we pick that blot up it would be a blunder to not play safe. If we move that blot from the opponent's four point to his two point making it much harder to cover, much more life after death when it's covered, and all of our entering numbers when hit that much stronger, it is now a blunder to do anything but make the five point.
