I'm not sure what you mean by "plausible moves." (Why not just "moves"?)

I found this problem tedious without the aesthetic payoff. for each try, I was left with a diminishing sense of satisfaction when looking for a second way to fail after already finding one. Furthermore, the various tries that are part of the expanded solution are inelegant. Finally, the key itself (if I'm right about it being Rb4) is less clever than it is compared to standard (good) problems.

I am unclear if part of the definition is that the same unique defense is not used to defeat two different tries. If so, I have more respect for the challenge overcome by the composer and retract much of my implied criticism. It's just a different kind of problem that happens not to be my cup of tea.

Without vetting thoroughly, here's my list:

c3 (threatens Re5#) defeated by ef
c4 (threatens Qd5#) defeated by e6
cb (theatens b4#) defeated by ed
Nb3+ defeated by ab (the only legal retort)
