As we mentioned before recently, usually a good thing to put the opponent on the bar when there are other loose checkers to be picked up. Also if you realize that you have a fairly solid cube after pointing and switching maybe that would coerce you into making the right play. (25% of the time) With the passive play you'll never have a cube next turn no matter what the opponent rolls.
