That seems like a well balanced play. I didn't consider it, thought having the checker further back to hamper that 8 point stack.

I ended voting for giving up the 8, but it feels weird. When that was suggested I thought the strong board and hang back the last checker for blot hitting.

Interesting choices. My main question still is the location of his blots, whether the plays are different if the blots are better placed. Not too scary on the 1 and 2 even if covered.
