Position of the Day 12-2-23 - Rule or Exception to it?

I know that making the 4 is usually correct here but... White does not have really good 6s and making the bar while owning the 10 means that he doesn't have a clear escape route, our moving to the 23 gives us a direct number out and splitting to the 5 gives us 3 spares to create a 5 prime and all of our checkers are in play. If making the 4 over the bar is correct here then I would find it hard to find the exception to making the 4.
