After considerable deliberation - at least several minutes - I think you've gotta hit. OTB I would be concerned about eating into the clock on a play like this, even though getting it wrong might be quite costly (I do hope this isn't close, and we can learn from it.) Out to the 15 point looks clear. If we make the 15 there's a good chance the 6 prime will be made within the next several rolls, and are struggling rather anyway, with largely a 3 point game; bringing the other chequer out too looks right, if we did make it. If we had the 21 point instead of the 22 there might be a stronger case for it. Hitting means we may recycle our ace point blot (5 immediate numbers) and possibly turn it around going forwards. All return hits help the back game.

Just my twopenny worth from this moderate player.
