Also reminds me of when I had a long proof of the form A = B = C = ... = Z. However there was an negative symbol in front of everything at the that should not have been there and I couldn't find where it should have gone away. So I went back ten steps from the end and extremely slightly erased the negative symbol and did that for the next nine lines until it was gone completely and hoped the grader would not notice.
