Position of the Day 12-3-23 - Rollout - Bloody Splits

I was hoping this position would be instructive to a few people as given the race is close, we have the stronger board, and have two men back opposed to our opponent's one might all be signals to split our back checkers and go after an advanced anchor/get some outfield coverage. As we see from the rollout below that's clearly the wrong idea.

Our goal is either to make our bar point hemming in our opponent currently on our ace point or attack that blot when the time is right. If we split our checkers really all of our opp's rolls are playable with some of them being fairly crushing as opposed to not splitting where no rolls really do us much harm.
