Trice's formula substracts 1 "pip" from blue's count because he has 1 more point made in his board, and then adds (40-5)/7=5, so the point of last take is 41-1+5=45.
Trice's formula also add 2 "pips" penalty to whites count because it has one checker more on the board, for a total count of 48.
It is a massive pass according to Trice.

This all can be verified by clicking on Analysis-->Race Formula-->Trice in XG.
