That's the Trice-metric formula and those adjustments don't need to be made in p v p races. Art Benjamin has written several articles on various formulas for all kinds of bearoffs in the USBGF Primetime magazine. His rule for p v p races when the side on roll has an EPC of 39 or more is that the underdog's POLT is leader's EPC/9. Leader's EPC is ~ 47.5 so the POLT is when the underdog's EPC is ~ 5.3 pips higher. Wastage looks to be about the same for both sides here so the trailer has a close take.
