I watched the very beginning of a match from Ian Shaw's link. I don't even remember who. Anyway, when a dice on the first roll ended on a checker they started debating and one of them said "I think it's our choice" and after more debating which I didn't hear someone said "so we reroll" , which I didn't know whether it meant it was their choice or the rule flavor of the week. I assume now it was the rule in place.

But the whole thing was SUPREMELY irritating to me! (Yes, I waste time getting irritated with minor things.)

I thought there was a year or more of debate arguing dice on checkers or off (IMO there was no issue with NOT on checkers, flat on board... lol) and the ON checker side WON.

WHY WOULD THERE BE ALTERNATE RULES!

Sorry, didn't need to shout.
