It is about double/nodouble which is not sure. And can be applied in positions when take is sure. So, if you are not sure is this double don't send a cube because:

1) It can be no double and you are wrong

2) It can be double but easy take. You want to send more difficult cubes.

3) Because take is easy, you will get very little passes.

Off course, it is just my improvisation but such thinking can be improved I am sure.
