Andy Reid says they'd have kicked if they won the toss. Says their analytics beforehand had that decided. Shanahan says they went thru analytics on it too... But I'm a bit suspicious, 49ers analytics almost sounds done during the game for some reason to me. Of course, each team could come up with a different correct play, based on their teams strengths and the other teams strengths.

Anyway, I will be very interested to see what the advanced analytics people say!

At the time I said kick. But most of the reddit thread said 'no, you want it third'. But man, that's a parlay to the future, has to be a discount. The first two possessions are guaranteed. And you prefer going second I think. Now I'm betting Andy Reid was correct.
