Our main force is having only one checker back, and slotting 4 point must be wrong, as must be moving up to the 9 point where Stick will love to hit regardless of duplication. That seems to lead to a natural 8/2, but I managed to find another alternative worth considering: 10/5 8/7. (8/7 better than 7/6, stripping from behind, and you never know, 4s may be useful on the far side next turn, so let's leave 7/4 rather than 8/4 to make the 4 next turm)

But is it worth giving the 61 shot in return for a slightly prettier position and not going behind the anchor? Maybe, as the hit is devalued because of the duplication, I'll try the clever play:

10/5 8/7
