Good question! Did I miss the answer?

When playing a naturally fast paced game, Backgammon, "slowpokes" need to have a chessclock put on the match to keep the tournament moving along, yes?
This was done on rare occasion decades ago. IIRC, beginning in the late 1960s. Rare, because there were not many slowpoke players.

Within the last 10yrs (for some reason), there are more slowpoke players. So, today there are chessclock required Divisions for the slowpokes.

Are slowpokes complaining about slowpokes? What a headache for a TD whose event has (for some reason), attracted slowpokes. ☹
