Fighting for the four point is classic play. So is making the three point and hitting on the opposite side of the board. And whacking two is always worth a good look.

An abundance of riches but I can only pick one. I'll go for escaping with tempo and play 24/16*.

It's often better to slot one of the higher homeboard points instead of continuing on to the ace to whack two - this might be an exception, but I don't see why. Making the three seems kinda passive when there are more aggressive options. And escaping with tempo seems better than slotting the four.
