Oops. Didn't see that there were 6 checkers on the deuce, not 5. In that case, ripping off four looks a lot more playable, but I'll go with the aphorism "a point that's cleared is not to be feared" and still clear the four point. It should win more games, and often you win more gammons simply because you win more games. Same holds for backgammons. Sometimes.
