Assuming 24 point is held:

Ripping 4 gives 8 immediate shot numbers and they are all double shots. 4/0 4/0 gives 8 immediate shot numbers and they all are single shots. For later shots 4/0 4/0 has blotting aces with a possible coup classique. Ripping 4 could end up with 3 on the 3 point and 2 on the two point after most 1s and that gives a shot on 34 rolls. The other caes look to be about as dangerous as after 4/0 4/0.

If iI learn it is correct for opponent to flee a checker if possible after ripping 4, meaning the 8 bad immediate rolls give a single shot instead of a double and also probably is a last chance to hit I might answer differently. But I see that as unlikely. My play is 4/0 4/0.
