I haven't memorized the gammon values and takepoints for a 15 point match, but at 7a 15a I would surmize that white's gammon values are elevated so perhaps the GG play would be favored over the DMP play. Or maybe this is just an example of the "just make the DMP play" adage.

Running out to the 16 looks playable. If white doesn't roll a 1 or a 10 we have a very good lead with our checkers escaped. Covering the ace while making the ten also looks good, but I'm generally hesitant to make the ace (and get dinged for it a lot). Making the three is worth a look since it unstacks the six, but making the five looks better, since it safeties a blot and is the five point.

I'm not sure so when in doubt... 10/5 8/5.
