Always hit, or always run the last checker?

I haven't seen "always hit" as advice, except as what I took as a tongue in cheek reference in the intro to Robertie's 501.

But Pottle's law (in Stick's variation) says run the straggler when there's nothing constructive to do elsewhere, and slotting the seven with tempo seems constructive. So I don't thin either aphorism are applicable here.

I'm only counting 8 shots if we hit (not counting the ones that tear up the board) and that's a lot less than the 20 or so that running exposes. So, I'll hit here. Nine dancing numbers and we still leap with 5s or 6s. Note that this doesn't account for the backgame timing factor and if she dances her timing for the backgame greatly improves. I'll still hit.
