Endgame cube action from the bar

The reference position I had in mind is closed out on the bar with N checkers off, the rest on the ace point and the opponent not having borne off any checkers yet. Yeah, this position isn't exactly that, but my ref is a place to start.

I remember this by recalling that N=8 is 50%, then add or subtract 10 percentage points for the first two checkers, and then seven for each additional checker. This gives

12 84

It's not perfect and breaks down below 4 and above 12, but it's close enough for me.
