Bob Koca's play of 9/3 8/5* 4/1* is interesting. XG hates it but I suspect XG underrates the play because XG doesn't play the subsequent game properly. On the other hand, it's hard to force the opponent to hit a checker on our 1pt, so I think XG's play is probably the right idea, hedging our bets by keeping a decent prime but also recognizing that getting hit isn't that bad either.
