Once you see that the bot wants to play 13/8(2) 6/1*(2), it's not hard to see the reason. Blue doesn't want to "lose his double" by being hit back from the bar. More precisely, Blue is on the verge of a cube, and he gets much better cube efficiency from 13/8(2) 6/1*(2). If instead Blue plays 8/3(2) 6/1*(2), then it's a humongously inefficient pass if White dances, and a poor position if White hits back.
My records show that I made this mistake 6 years ago, and made a careful note of it. Unfortunately, that didn't stop me from making the same mistake again recently.
