My approach has been to roll out the opening replies 1296 times each at 2-ply, since you need these to identify freed drops if Trailer wins the opening roll at -1-2pc. Then I combine them to get the equity for the opening roll.

Most of the time I've just rolled out out the top play according to 2-ply evaluation, simply to get an absolute equity value. Sometimes I've rolled out up to three plays.
