Surprising XG resignation

But I don't think XG resigns based on a threshold for winning probability. For example, I don't think it ever resigns when I have just two checkers left to bear off, even if its chances of winning are 0%. Similarly, it tends not to resign matches. There have been times when I only need to win the game (not a gammon) to win the match, and it's playing some kind of desperate holding game; contact is broken, and it's obviously (to a human) gin, but XG won't resign.
