I'd imagine that the overwhelming majority of people in Field B would not show up to play their games. Probably only diehard backgammon players would persist through such a logistical nightmare, and finish the tournament. So I'll go with Field A.

On the other hand, if there's enough money involved, then the outcome of the tournament will almost certainly be rigged by the Illuminati, who probably wouldn't arrange for an actual backgammon player to win. In that case, I'd go with Field B.
