Making the last 8 would require 29 consecutive wins. Having an 85.3% win chance in each match would give a 1% chance of doing that.

In the later rounds weeding out would have occurred but for the first maybe ten rounds it is very close to playing beginners.

What is the chance in a 1 pointer for backgammon expert vs a complete beginner chosen randomly from earth?
