Unlike in DailyGammon, nobody here made any predictions on this experiment either but here are the results anyway:

Mutant won only 40.70% (-0.3800 ppg, -190 Elo) of points and 40.79% of games cubeless, compared to 42.15% (-0.4371 ppg, -220 Elo) of points and 40.26% of games cubeful.

Again the question is: why did the mutant do better in cubeful than in cubeless games?

I think I do know why but let's give the mathematicians and gambling giants a first stab at trying to explain it.
