This is a containment position, so we'd like to make blocking points and provide outfield coverage. At the same time, White has a strong board, so we shouldn't be too reckless. I would try 16/15 8/7(2) 6/5. Playing 6/5 gives us more ways to attack the straggler if White runs one checker off the anchor. All other things being equal, I'd prefer the 8pt to the 7pt because it's a better blocking point, but if we hang on to the 8pt then we have to advance our back checkers further forward than I would like. Only 65 and 64 hit, and we maintain good chances of making the 10pt or the 8pt next turn.
