In general, in Kocagammon there is no claiming of gin. Win by either bearing off the last checker or by opponent resigning a game on their turn before rolling.

This is relevant since what would be a gin position in regular backgammon might not be in Kocagammon if the next move cannot be made on that board. Even if it is gin a stronger sense the player needs to use moves on that board to claim the win. Another example is suppose it has reached DMP and player 1 moves to a position with 2 on ace point vs opponent with 5 on ace point on Board A and 1 does have a move to play on board A next turn. Player 2 would get a last chance, for example having 4 on 6 point to bear off on board B.
