This position reminds me of reference positions by Kit Woolsey from his book “The Backgammon Encyclopedia - Cube Reference Positions” Here we have a monster double and a small to medium take. If the blot were not on the 14, but on the 18, it would be a clear pass. Unfortunately, I don't remember the exact threshold when it flips from take to pass.
