8/4 18/17. This leaves 15 shots but D5 is very likely a winner after any play so I'd count this as leaving 14 shots. The race is close and this play forces White to leave a direct shot on 12 numbers and waste more pips with 31 and 21. 18/13 leaves 11 shots but never forces White to leave a direct shot while 18/14 8/7 leaves 12 and forces a direct shot on 6 numbers. I'd play 8/4 18/17.
