GNU's staggered MET might give the correct answer in this position. Blue's position is real easy to play and taking will cost you 8 big points in the match over 20% of the time. If you change this to a complex position for Blue to play while keeping the same single and double game chances as in Ian's position, then I think the stronger player would have a take. The weaker player would make enough mistakes to give the stronger player a take even though GNU's MET would again recommend a close pass.
