I'm taking even though I find the condition of my home board a little distressing. At least there are no completely burned checkers, and I might be able to fill that double gap before anything interesting happens. But OTOH, I might have to use the first 1 or 2 I get to move that backmost checker forward, so it might take longer than it appears.

Double, yeah, I would, because of the market-losing sequences involving bad 3s and 4s for White.
