Although white has to make checker play which is related with upcoming cube decision which usually means less volatile and less gammonish choice I think he should PoH and make 2pt here. Any other move leave blue's hand free and enough shots over the board so blue can be back in game with one fine roll. After 8/2*(2) I don't move anything from midpoint. White game plan is not prime battle. He is ahead in the race and has to do something with back checkers while blue is on the bar. 21/9 or 21/15 24/18? We need to bring both checkers home and position looks more compact after 24/18. Also it put more pressure on blue's blot in outfield. Another builder on 9pt is nice for making 4pt but it leaves our last back checker isolated from the rest.
