Are positions from a BG book copyrighted material?

Well, Jeremy Bagai seems to have gotten away with something similar, although he didn't reproduce all the positions. https://www.fortuitouspress.com/cbr

Tim posted rollouts for all of Robertie's errors in 501, but didn't publish the positions. Or, unfortunately, the gnu or Xg id of the position.

IANAL, but you're probably ok with posting some subset ( but don't see why you'd want to cover the entire book). If you started, most likely the worst thing that would happen would be to get a cease and desist letter telling you to stop. If you took your sweet time to cover the entire book and the copyright holder didn't do anything, the legal principle of laches (https://legaldictionary.net/doctrine-of-laches/) might be an affirmative defense.

My guess is that if you posted it here, the audience is small enough that nobody would notice, and if someone tried to sue you they'd have a hard time establishing much in the way of monetary damage.
