I really like both off the midpoint here, 10, 9. It effectively blocks in the opp's 21pt anchor. On the other side of the board, as nice as making the golden point would be, we are under no pressure to do so. There are no extra men in the zone, no men diversified, no new points made, etc... We have time to improve offensively.

The 5pt is no good for me. It gets made with the wrong checkers, strips the 8pt, leaves a direct 6 to hit and run.
