I'd keep the mid since that makes it harder for White to clear the 14 safely. Clearing the mid does make two extra crossovers but reduces contact on White's 14-point which I don't think is a good trade. Another possible play is 13/12 8/5. White will only hit with D1 or 41 and you'll have decent hitting chances if hit with D1. I think 13/12 8/5 is best.
